JGS Insurance, located in Holmdel, New Jersey is growing rapidly and as a result has an opportunity for a new Commercial Lines Assistant Account Manager. This position is responsible for assisting with account management job duties assigned to them, in a prompt, courteous and professional manner.  This includes providing the necessary support to the overall production and objectives of the department and company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

  • Process policy change requests and forward to the insured
  • Check endorsements for accuracy and send to insured
  • Check audits for accuracy
  • Issue COI’s/EOP’s and Auto ID Cards
  • Policy delivery to insured via AM’s instructions
  • Obtain loss runs
  • Forward Loss Control recs where needed
  • Prepare Renewal Proposals as per Account Managers’ directions
  • Bind and Invoice Renewals as needed
  • Prepare binders with invoices and issue to insured
  • Follow up with carriers for policies
  • Obtain MVR’s, where applicable
  • Handle all non-payment cancellations for both direct and agency billed accounts and follow up for payment accordingly. In the event that no payment is received, cancellation closing letters to the insured are sent
  • Issue Reinstatements to the insured
  • Invoicing of agency billed policies/endorsements/audits and distribution of same to the insured
  • Addressing billing and payment questions from insured and creating transaction/payment analysis when needed
  • Create schedules and summaries of insurance
  • Any other duties as directed by management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 1 year business experience; insurance experience a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong methodical and problem solving skills
  • Experience with AMS360 or similar agency management system a plus
  • Capacity to handle fast-paced environment and work load
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
